The restaurant was quite crowded when we arrived. Our server, Corey, did his best to get our drinks and take our orders promptly. He was personable and accommodating. However, all the dishes arrived at the table except mine. I asked my friends to start eating, but they insisted I wait for my meal. Unfortunately, it took quite a while for the last entree to be served. Our birthday celebrant requested an extra dessert,... View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about The Grille On Congress:
we celebrated a birthday. the birthday woman was presented with a piece of chocolate cake with a single candle. we were charged $12.09 for the cake. our reservation noted that we are celebrating a birthday. the deck was over $200. if the grille had composed the birthday woman on the congress, the restaurant would have earned another star in the review. The food was excellent, service was outstanding. I brought clients there, who frequent this restaurant often, as I know they really like it. The server called them by name and was excellent in providing recommendations. The hostess called me the morning of the reservation and wanted confirmation of the reservation. When I arrived a little early, she greeted me by first name and was very kind. I will definitely be back again.
As always Excellent food and service It’s such a great neighborhood place to have a great meal A MUST
We were the first diners of the evening with an early reservation on a Saturday night. Service was polite, friendly, and efficient. However, the food left much to be desired: the roasted half chicken was way overdone and practically burnt. It was so dry, that it was beyond redemption. One can get a much better roast chicken at Publix for one-third of the menu price. There was no sauce or gravy on the plate to help the unfortunate burnt offering. The salmon on another plate was unseasoned and flavorless. It is unfortunate that this long established dining institution allowed such poorly prepared food to leave the kitchen and be presented to a customer. If the cook in the kitchen was inexperienced or was having a bad day, it is still ultimately the chef's responsibility to prevent these unacceptable culinary mistakes from leaving the kitchen.
Our favorite neighborhood staple. Good food and good service. Try the baked chicken Romano!
Excellent dinner the staff is so honorable. I received a call right after we left from the owner that they found my friends wallet she didn’t even know she lost it. They are incredible.
