Contribute FeedbackWe arrived at 9:15 on Saturday night. There were only two other tables occupied. This should have been a clue. Greeted warmly and sat immediately. While the other two tables were being served and finishing up, we were ignored. 6 employees at bar engaged in heated discussion. At 9:35, we asked the hostess to find server. 45 minutes before our wine/appetizers arrived. Black bean soup and Prairie Relleno were good. Seafood Paella was barely adequate, all salmon than shrimp, mussels and clams combined (no scallops). The Chicken Diablo was inedible. It was over-spiced that it burned the tongue before any flavors could be tasted. Over 90 minute meal. Staff obnoxious arguing at bar. Uncomfortable and couldn’t get out of there fast enough. Want $116.00 back! Incredible disappointment. Won’t last thru summer.
They have a very creative and different menu. We were a party of 8, with kids and everyone found out something good. The dining room is beautiful and the decor is very upscale and impressive. The salads were large enough for 2, steak temperatures were correct (always a concern), lots of different flavors in each sauce, something that you don’t find out easily nowadays, with a lot of restaurants copying each other. Desserts were very yummy and service was polite, attentive and responsive. Oh, and let’s not forget, the margaritas are to die for, a friend of mine said that they are known in Boston for their Margaritas and tequilas, and she didn’t exxagerate a bit. Overall we were very happy, we use to drive all the way to fort lauderdale to go to Canyon, now we have a very good local option,
I was sooo disappointed in this restaurant. My wife and I were looking for a new place to try for a late Sunday lunch. We saw their ad and thought that it looked good. I was dying for some great southwestern food. Unfortunately it was the worst that we had ever had. We started with the fresh tortilla chip with four dips $9). The two salsas were bland and tasteless. They did not have a fresh taste. The Guac was made with cheap watery and pale avocados. It was totally lacking in any flavor. The queso dip was a pale cheap canned cheese sauce with some color thrown in. Again, no flavor, no spice. The chips were nice and crisp but for $9 the whole thing made Tostitos look pretty good. Ok, Ok… on to the signature dish we decided to share a $23 fajita. The waiter described it as the best thing on the menu. “Chicken breast, jumbo shrimp and steak marinated in southwestern seasonings. Served with mixed peppers and onions on a sizzling skillet”, Yum! Unfortunately, it was as terribly disappointing as the app. The waiter brought the dish to the table in a luke warm not sizzling) skillet. As we were seated outside and downwind I could smell the strong odor of old shrimp from ten feet away. Not spoiled but certainly heading that way. The shrimp I could not try but my brave wife who loves seafood stated that it was tasteless. The chicken was tender and juicy but also flavorless. The steak, instead of being thinly sliced was cut into ¾” wide strips and was like trying to chew rubber. I literally could not bite a piece off the fajita and had to pull it out. It had little flavor. The tortillas had been “over microwaved” and were tough and dry around the edges. The fajitas came with a cute rectangle dish with tiny, tiny square ramekins of pico, sour cream, guac and lettuce. About 1 ½ tablespoon of each. Well that was enough for one maybe two fajitas but the dish came with four tortillas. The server never stopped by to see if we wanted any more. All in all, the server had a great personality. We he did show up when we had finished eating and asked how things were. I expressed my displeasure, politely). He apologized and said that he would discount the food. I refused stating that was not my intent. He placed the check down and returned after a very long time. He asked if the manager had stopped by. I replied, “no.” He then stated that I could see why the restaurant had problems. I had already figured that out. The entire time that we were in the restaurant the manager was laughing and chatting with a waitress and hostess at the front door. Maybe that’s why most of the many other restaurants in the complex at the time were 40-50% full this place had only one other table. Sad, they supposedly have many awards at the home store in Boston and the fact that a lot of money was spent on the comfortable and inviting décor. Only open four months, in this current environment they won’t make it another four, sad, sad ,sad
