One of the nicest Pizzas I've ever had. Perfect thin yet crispy base and delicious ingredients. Not cheap at $28 but definitely worth it! Service OK, not fantastic, I ordered a beer and had to ask again before I got it despite being the only customers in there..The setting out the back with views of paddocks is amazing! Will go back for sure! Although the menu has gluten free on it, the only guarantee of gluten free that you will get from here is the gluten free pizza base.A pizza without sauce? Please, people with allergies to gluten are genuine. Please be a little more compassionate, especially when they ring up 24 hours in advance and get confirmation from you that your menu is Celiac friendly. View all feedback.
I went to Valhalla Restaurant and Bar with my son, daughter in law two grandchildren last night (Sat night). We ordered our food drinks after confirming our reservation and then sat at our table by the fireplace. Very cosy, not overly busy but extremely noisy due to large groups sitting nearby who were loud and ear piercing in their pitch and laughter. Prices weren’t over the top but thought they were a little dear. The adults meals arrived quite quickly however the kids meals, both hamburgers with chips, took a further 30mins to arrive by which time, the adults had finished their meals. When my son ordered food for his family he asked the man serving him if they could please leave the pickles relish off my grandson’s burger. He suffers with slight autism and only likes plain food. Unfortunately the man advised he couldn’t and it had to be served as it was advertised without taking those things off. I asked him to check with the kitchen explaining that my grandson only liked plain food and probably wouldn’t eat it, but when he came back, he re-confirmed it couldn’t be done. That is ridiculous, I mean isn’t it easier to leave those two items off the order? We didn’t think it was a big ask, however the restaurant staff obviously did. Would never go back again, terrible customer service!
Visited last week with family for dinner. This place has been around for several years. Was a Saturday, the place was busy but not full. Nice decor with touch of Viking theme. Had pizza and ribs to share, rub was nice, pizza was okay (didn’t realised Viking ate pizza) good range of drinks. Service was quick and friendly. Price wise, was average, but not over the top. Had a great area to functions.
Sadly I was really looking forward to this restaurant and it just didn 't meet the hype. I had the pepperoni pizza thinking 'how badly can you stuff up a pizza ' but unfortunately it was the soggiest and wettest pizza I have ever had. We also weren 't a fan of the hamburgers served on the turkish rolls. Can recommend the wedges though.
I had the Pear, Parmesan and Roquette Salad. It was a plate of roquette, with a few shavings of parmesan, a few pine nuts, about half a pear sliced very thin, and a few pieces of lavosh mixed in. The roauette was by far the dominant ingredient, and the rest just a sprinkle. For $25 it should have had more substance to it. I would not order this dish again.
The setting is lovely and the service staff are awesome. However, despite the menu saying vegan and gluten free dietary changes are accepted they weren't. The staff appeared anxious about what to say to the chef and then said, no sorry we can't cater for these needs. Why put it on the menu if it's going to be refused? It meant 4 people in our party couldn't eat. Had we known this before we booked we wouldn't have bothered. Also, they don't accept cash.
