We had a delightful meal at The Yellow Perch in Bayfield Ontario this week. It was our first time st this quaint resort town. We chatted with the owner who has many years of experience internationally in food service. The food was beautifully presented and delicious. We highly recommend this cute bistro when visiting the Bayfield area. View all feedback.
What Ashley Waugh doesn't like about The Yellow Perch:
Very bad quality food. They are very low on supplies and we had to wait over an hour for our food. Not very accommodating to special diets. The food was so bad my cousin started to cry while she was eating the food. I recommend the hot dog place down the street instead. View all feedback.
Amazing every single time. Ignore negative reviews. Prices are amazing, food is fresh, chef is amazing and service is friendly and prompt.
I don't visit bayfield often, but when I do this is where I like to take my friends and family! The servers are great and attentive and the food is great. Being from Port Dover I'm no stranger to perch and they do an amazing job!! You can tell the people here care about what they do. 10/10
10/10 would come back again!! Good food great staff :
It was amazing! We had the smoked meat Crosto, the seafood Mac n’ cheese, and the Bayfield Benny! AMAZING literally the best place in Huron/Perth county, absolutely spot on, Adam the Chef is a top notch guy, and me and my boyfriend had a lovely dinner! Such a nice, cute atmosphere, too #YouGottaEatHere
Four of us came to dine for lunch. The patio was lovely as it was nicely shaded and quiet. There was no wait. It took us over an hour to receive our food and not once was this acknowledged (and it was the owner that brought the food over). We were not the only table to experience this. I ordered the pickerel po’ boy sandwich. The fish was grilled and had hunks of fish skin still on it. There was nothing else on the sandwich but a mango slaw which mostly contained purple cabbage. The bread, that they receive from a retired baker, was very good. The lemon lime drink just tasted like someone filled half of the mason jar with maple syrup. The two men that we were dining with ordered the smoked meat sandwich and it barely had any meat. When my husband spoke to the owner, he said that he appreciated the feedback but that the kitchen must have “cheated” them out of the meat as they had others ordering it throughout the day. After acknowledging this, he did not even offer a discount for the atrocious wait and horrendous food. Please note that the sandwich only had one slice of meat. The potatoes were a small serving that were LOADED with pepper. For two of us, our bill was $50. We had to go to Olio’s down the road (delicious) to get a hot dog and slush after as we were all still hungry and I had to get the taste of fish skin and pepper out of my mouth. I wish them the best.
