If you like diner food, you 'll love this place. If you don 't, you might like it anyway. I’m a foodie and I’m always satisfied. Of course you can 't mess up a waffle or pancakes, but the veggies are always of good quality (they even have awesomely fresh avocado! and the service is great. I recently ate lunch there for the first time and it was not a disappointment especially for what 's available in the area! The real selling point...the **** marys. Absolutely worth the cost fully homemade and fresh. I don 't even like **** marys and I drank one! My husband swears it 's the best he 's ever had. We brought some family members to try them and they agreed. We are about 200 miles away, but always make sure to schedule a stop for the mary 's when we 're going to be in the area. Even if you 're not hungry stop in and try the spicy or the bacon mary! If you are hungry, eat. It’s diner food, but the best of it that I’ve ever had.
This is by far the best breakfast in town. If you like homemade waffles and omelettes cooked to perfection, this is your restaurant. The Skillet has been a favorite of ours for years and is the best kept secret of the McKenzie Bridge area.
I was not very impressed by the menu, it seemed very outdated unless you like to order meatloaf when eating out. The desserts were a fresh and pleasant surprise. The outdoor dining area was very private with many potted plants.
