Red Fish Taco - Blue Mountain Beach

Very good Cuban sandwich and specialty margarita, but a letdown in wait staff service attitude and performance. Restaurant staples like the salsa and guacamole for their delicious house chips, were lacking. The red salsa had the appearance of tomato soup and an off-flavor to match the look. The guacamole had fully ⅛ of a piece of avocado in our bowl. It took a fork to free it from the dish. Every chip broke on it!Although the atmosphere seemed bustling and jovial, there seemed to be an underlying current of chaos. Maybe it’s the season, maybe they’re understaffed that night, I was surely disappointed after hearing others in our party with previous experience rave about Red Fish Taco. I won’t join them from this night.

Don't get me wrong, it is a great little eatery for tacos and more! The food is relatively good and nothing to complain about aside from I ate too many chips and queso/Diablo/salsa Verde and couldn't finish my brisket quesadilla! My family got the grouper tacos (which were spectacular) and the chicken quesadilla which was a simple taste and very easy to eat. Simple tasting never is a bad thing. One thing that caught my attention... I was told that the meals were all pre-made so customization was not possible.... Take that how you wish.It was a different change of pace since it's a restaurant where you order up front like a fastfood joint... This place doesn't necessarily have that fast food vibe. Lots of adult beverages available if you want a little spiritual kick as a full bar is available for drinks and live music in the evenings (but unfamiliar with the evening feel). We stopped by looking for a bit of mexicana before we left the by 30A so this filled the hole... Just right!Vegetarian options: Seemed like you could get everything without an animal based protein so....

Would rate 0/5 stars if I could. We got there and nobody was in there, yet we waited 35 minutes for our food. The black beans tasted sugary and disgusting. I ordered a simple cheese quesadilla.. explain to me how it came out NUKED and inedible and not to mention rubbery. Thank god they had the sidewinder fries, the only thing worth it on that menu. Grateful for the free water. NOT worth the 75 we spent. DO NOT GO HERE. Save your money.

I had the taco salad, packed and punched with flavor. No crumbs were left. They only offer one salad dressing and it was amazingly delicious. I also had the pina-colada and wow! I’d return just for that alone. Overall it was a good experience. Be mindful of your receipt as I do believe there is gratuity added onto the total already.Vegetarian options: I did not see any vegetarian options but I’m sure you may alter the food to make it vegetarian!

Fresh ingredients, delicious flavors! Best Key Lime Pina Colada EVER!GREAT LIVE MUSIC! Jeremiah Campbell and his band play amazing original tunes. Not cheese ball music. Not low quality talent. Really good music.Go see them, and try the brisket, or blackened shrimp tacos! The Trio Dips were the easy to go, and street corn was the real deal. ??
