Sleepy Bee Cafe - Blue Ash
Sleepy Bee Cafe
Description
Despite limited parking and long wait times, The Sleepy Bee offers a variety of healthier breakfast and brunch options. The AVI breakfast scramble was tasty but the eggs were overcooked, and the service was lacking. Some found the menu confusing with overly complex flavors, while others appreciated the gluten-free and vegan options. The Queen City Bee sandwich comes highly recommended for those looking for a delicious meal. The atmosphere is family-friendly, with gluten-free options and accommodations for children. Overall, The Sleepy Bee provides a unique dining experience for those with specific dietary needs or just looking for a good breakfast spot.

The Sleepy Bee is a great addition to the rare upscale breakfast gastro pub idea. With an emphasis on handling different allergies and lifestyles of eating, this is the place to go if you want a great meal while being gluten free, vegan, soy free, or if you just want a great breakfast. They also offer meat options as well, with my personal recommendation this time being the Queen City Bee sandwich. It does invoke a certain mindset of bee puns if you go there (in my personal experience), so keep that in the back of your hive mind.
Limited parking space and long wait time. Which would have been fine if the food was good. But my Mother Hen meal came with dried up chicken, a toast with only half pesto, and old salad. Was really excited to try this place but was very disappointed :
One of the most mediocre places I’ve ever had. Definitely below mediocre. The food felt like it came out of a dorm kitchen that a college kid just moved into.i ordered the chicken bacon range bowl.
Busy cafe serving heathier options for breakfast, brunch and lunch. I had the AVI breakfast scramble which features avocado spinach mushrooms and white cheddar. It was delicious although the eggs were over cooked. Served with very thinly sliced ww toast that was so hard I worried o broke a tooth! I had a side of their organic sausage it had decent flavor but I had to use a knife to cut the patty. If they make in house the lean to fat ratio is slightly off. My service was not stellar. The female server was unfriendly, inpatient and exhibited a just get the job done mentality. I ordered Earl Grey tea and the server put one bag into a four cup pot of hot H2O so it was so dilute, could barely discern the tea flavor! No water or tea refill offered she seemed intent on getting new orders in as opposed to taking care of existing customers. Maybe they were short staffed? Wasn’t very busy so don’t know what the issue was with that. Another establishment with suggested tips on the bill. Dietary restrictions: Gluten free Organic Vegetarian
