Good food. Had the meat, it was pretty good. Definitely filled the house cooked meal desire I come from time to time. Husband had pastrami sandwich. I think there were literally 1 liter of meat on the sandwich. Great place for a good sandwich or house cooked meal. Service was also good. Son and I were on Shapiros Saturday the Corn Beef Sandwich was all I expected. Yeah, it was expensive, that's what good Deli costs. We're going back. Glad Shapiros is in our city.
We were encouraged by the news that a small Indianapolis chain, Shapiro 's Kosher Style Delicatessen, expand into the Cincinnati area, the exact same Blue Ash room as Rascal 's, as well as blowing out a wall and consume the former Truva Mediterranean spot in this process. We had the hope that Shapiro 's might offer a similar kind of personal charm and diversity that we enjoyed at Rascal 's.
Just like the original location salads and cold sandwiches. Hot Entrees. Etc etc. For the whole family Pastrami Sandwich Borscht filled cabbage rolls Mac n cheese asparagus raspberry cheesecake ordered. And some other treats. Very happy. They are new employees, give them a break. And try. Great. So glad you are now in my neighborhood!!!
Went tonight with a large group. I have eaten at the original in Indianapolis and enjoyed my meal here just as much. Just be aware of where you are and what a real deli will cost. No $5 footlongs here... But the quality of the food demands a higher cost. If you want a more traditional deli experience give them a try. I had the corned beef (flavorful and plentiful) and the German Potato Salad. The latter had mustard in... Which my mother's does not... But was still tasty and served warm. Still plenty of tartness with the vinegar in it. We will be back.
