Rob Dob's Restaurant Bar - Bloomington

Husband I enjoyed an amazing anniversary dinner. Prime Rib (served on Fridays Saturdays only) was cooked to perfection, medium rare, husband ordered from the Octoberfest menu and it was amazing. Great friendly staff. Dined in the bar area and enjoyed the entertainment. All around a pleasant experience and will definately be back.

My husband and I took my in-laws here for their anniversary. We all really loved it! The food was fresh and delicious. I got the Smores drink. It was so good. We started off with cheese curds as the appetizer. I ordered the classic lasagna and my husband had the 16oz Ribeye medium rare. Not only was the food good, but the service was on point as well. We're definitely coming back again!

Overall I have to give it 2 stars. It definitely wants to be something, but just falls short. The owner couldnt be bothered to say hello to guests, just some friends he knew at a table. A little warmth goes a long way. This isnt Mcdonalds. Second, on a pretty empty Tuesday food was rushed. 2 minutes into appetizer, entrees brought out. Not a good pace. First time visiting Rob Dob's this evening with my husband. Food was very good and the service we received from Marylou was excellent. We will be back, and look forward to trying other items from their menu. There is so much variety available we had a hard time choosing what we wanted to order!

I sat at the bar, and I had a good bartender. She paid attention to when I might need a beverage and was very helpful with answering questions about food options.
