Ancho Agave - Bloomington

Loved the decor but when there is 10 tables cleaned and empty and another 10 that are dirty, how is there a 40 minute wait???? The service was HORRIBLE. it took ANOTHER 40 minutes for her to take our order!!! Slowest service of any where I have ever been. We sat at the bar waiting for our table for 30 minutes and not once did the bartender talk to us, ask if we wanted a drink, nothing. The food, not worth the price. I had the taco salad and not sure how you can screw up a salad but they did. It needed some type of dressing, a lime, something. First and last time there.

Staff was friendly, great lively atmosphere and the menu was a challenge. I was challenged to find anything I didn’t want! I had three different types of the street tacos and none of them disappointed. Such incredibly different and unique flavours. You can tell this restaurant cares about food. The margaritas were delicious and the chips and fresh salsa for the table was a great start to an excellent meal.

Such unique tacos, and I haven't had a single one I didn't enjoy! I get the carnitas burrito all the time because I just can't get enough of it.

We found this place during the Covid lockdown. Their patio was fantastic, and the food choices were unique and delicious. When eating outside was the only option, we made the trip from Champaign 2 to 3 times a month. We have been back many times since, as it has become a family favorite. Tonight however the service was beyond terrible. I would struggle finding a good place to start to tell the tale. We had to ask for the water to go with the glasses we received 10 minutes earlier I had to ask for silverware and napkins, twice, and those things finally showed up with our food, which happened to be 30 seconds after the appetizers were delivered. My wife and I finally left with our entire entrees in boxes because they were cold by the time we got that far. It will be a while before I entertain the idea of driving that far to be treated that badly again.

Always delicious. I've had most of the menu and can't say I've ever been disappointed! Favorites are probably the Nashville chicken taco and the pork belly taco. Great desserts and quality margaritas too!Kid-friendliness: It's my kids favorite restaurant. We love to bring them here. They devour the chips and salsa and live the tacos. They are definitely picky eaters too!
