What nicole peverill doesn't like about Indian Lakes:
Nice neighborhood, rooms were nice but outdated, we went for our 5th anniversary and got woken up at 2: 30 in the morning by the fire alarm going off. While trying to go downstairs we couldn't find the exit anywhere only elevators. 5th floor has major safety issues. Extremely dangerous since we looked for about 15 minutes. If it were a real fire we wouldn't have made it. When we finally got downstairs there were a bu... View all feedback.

Stayed here 2 nights mid December and the first warning sign were the entry doors out of order, then it was the dank, damp, musty smell upon entering made me want to turn and run. One elevator, out of order, the ice machine on my floor out of order, the carpeting was stained in various places. My room's heating system was noisy, there were no glasses in the bathroom, minimal towels, the water took about 8 minutes to get warm before I gave up and tried again later. There was no menu ordering guide for nearby restaurants and not even a pen or paper and one of the lampshades was torn. The windows looked as though they hadn't been cleaned in years. Basically Indian Lakes is NOT what it was and Covid has done nothing but made it worse. Pathetic and only a ghost of its former glory.
Dog friendly, with beautiful atrium with waterfalls and plants. Really exceptional atmosphere in the rooms lots of space for activities!
My husband booked the hotel for our six-week postpartum getaway after the birth of our daughter on Thanksgiving 2020. While the staff was exceptional, the hotel itself was a disappointment. It had an odor reminiscent of repeated flooding, even though we were on the second floor! I struggled to breathe in our room, and it got even worse when the heat turned on. The elevator was out of order and would randomly open as we walked by. The carpet was filthy. I wanted to request a refund immediately, but we didn’t want to cut our day short or make the hour-and-a-half drive back home right away. Many of the appealing amenities were closed off. The hotel is in dire need of renovation, and we won't be returning unless it gets a significant update. You know how people say, “I wouldn’t wish this on my worst enemy?” Well, I actually would wish it on my worst enemy—it was that bad!
I visited in October and had a great experience. The check-in process was quick, and the place is very spacious. The customer service was excellent. The room itself was beautiful and impeccably clean.
