Excellent diner. Nice portion, reasonable prices. Food came fast and service was excellent with a smiling server and good small town attitude. I enjoyed my dinner and craft beer and topped it off with a nice piece of homemade coconut cream pie. Restaurant was full of chatty, friendly locals and working men, that’s always a good sign. Would not hesitate to go back. View all feedback.
Wow!!!!!!!! Hubby and I stopped for supper on our travels. One of the best meals I've had in a while. Ordered the special (Lemon Chicken with wine sauce . Hubby had the fish and chips. Very generous portions and great prices. VERY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!!
Good was delicious. Everything is homemade. My husband ordered the fish and chips and the fish was delicious, fries are hand cut. I had the clubhouse sandwich with homemade brown bread, and fresh cooked turkey. My kids had spaghetti and a burger and fries. The meat sauce was homemade not from a can or jar! Can’t recommend this place enough. Great food and service!
Very clean diner with great service. Right beside the highway. Had a club house. Was made on fresh bread with real roasted turkey. Was delicious. Sandwich does not come with side so you need to make sure to order if you want one. Worth the stop.
I stopped at this diner on Hwy 17 in Blind River on the way home after a week long road trip. I was looking for a comforting, home cooked meal after too many fast food take outs and it was perfect. I ordered the pickerel dinner, which was lightly dusted and then pan fried. Two generous scoops of real mashed potatoes, several spears of real asparagus, real carrots, broccoli and cauliflower don't think any of the above were of the frozen variety! It was the second most expensive dish after the whitefish so was great value, at $16.95, for the price. The waitress was lovely and kind. I could see the water's edge from where I was sitting. All in all, excellent value at an honest hometown restaurant!
This was the second time that we stopped here during a cross-Canada bike ride. The first was three years ago. Yesterday we stopped for an early dinner. I had fish and chips. They were the best that I have ever had. And the portions were generous. Try them, you'll like them.
