Alaskana Kitchen - Bldg Fort Wainwright

Alaska Kitchen serves delicious pork dishes! Despite the cold weather, I decided to give the food truck a try for lunch. I was pleasantly surprised to see a smiling face in the window as I approached. The menu had a variety of pork dishes to choose from, including a special pork bowl. After much deliberation, I settled on the sliders, even though I initially thought they might be too much. However, after taking my first bite, I was hooked. The pork was smoky and tender, generously filling the sandwiches. The Hawaiian buns were soft and fresh, paired perfectly with the fresh slaw and BBQ sauce. The meal was served with sweet pickles and chips, making it a delicious and satisfying lunch. I can't wait to return for more!

This is the best sandwich I have had in a long time! The chicken salad was loaded with fresh vegetables, high-quality chicken, and served on a delicious buttery toasted bun. The prices are reasonable, with a chicken or egg salad sandwich priced at $10 and reindeer or pulled pork sandwich priced at $12. The only downside was that the owner seems to be new and forgot to bring her cooler of beverages, but I can overlook that because the sandwich was so delicious.

This restaurant is amazing. It's difficult to find healthy options in the area, but Alaskana Kitchen is the best! I love all of their dishes, and the staff is super friendly. I highly recommend it.
