The urge is immense, even in the gastronomic farms – not only on weekends and not only on holiday. It is good to quickly pick up a place after rounding off the manageable but sensational turquoise blue karst source. In fact, on a Sunday morning at the beginning of August at 11 a.m. 45 we can get one of the last free tables in the outskirts of the Hotel Restaurants Löwen on the market. Near the blue pot are probably all feet and fewer ambitions. If you are a little more athletic, there are still many alternatives in place. The lion carries on its well-stocked menu everything a tourist can imagine in the Swabian cuisine: mules and late zle, rust roasts and swarms. The fact that the offer of seniors is called “Blue Pot Cellar” and that Rum(p)steak is written without p should make one already bright. The fact that there is a "bus card" on the local homepage. Never mind. We sit in the fresh air, right next to the laminating market fountain with lion sculpture, and look forward to the flash service that is already underway. It is also served quickly. The flädelsuppe (3,70 Euro) as an appetizer is a good choice: in a very spicy starch broth finely cut pancake strips and spring-running rings swing. But while we serve with joy, the main course is already served. Our protests are limited. The back pockets (12.80 euros) are taken back again, but the beetles (11.80 euros) are served mercilessly. Both dishes offer a side salad on the buffet. This means that once you walk over the terrace, climb several steps to the locals, fight through the magnificent guest room and stand on the buffet either politely or press the still undecided with elbow force. At dinner on the terrace cools slowly. Finally, the salad buffet reconciles with enormous variety: potato salad, leaf salads, tomato quarters with many onions, green beans, two kinds of radishes (pinned), sprinkled tube (finished with pineapple) etc. pp. All fresh and crunchy, only the carrot salad tastes as if it were just before drinking. But can also lie on Cannanas. The blows are a poem: Under a thin noodle dish there is a mixture of irritating broth (sometimes it tastes liver), very much green and parsley. The lush part cannot be desired. However, the cold beetles have obtained a hard consistency. Also the decoration with some Balsamico splashes and two cocktail tomato halves does not melt. A new complaint is sent verbally by the table. Our former main course will soon become a luxury problem. The kitchen no longer comes after the best time and the adjacent tables are annoyed for long waiting times. After a large Cola (0.4 liter for 3.70 euros) and a non-alcoholic Bitburger (3.20 euros), a toilet walk is unusable. The path there, however, proves to be a true obstacle course over several side wings of the hotel and through worn-out corridors, which must also be held as storage space. The toilets themselves still spray the charm of the 70s of the last century. After a short one-hour visit, waiting for the invoice takes much longer than the anticipation of the ordered dishes. The bear is now coming. So we decide to take the urgently needed coffee for digestion elsewhere. A very good idea, as shown. If we visit the blue pot in this life again, we will certainly not return to the lion. PS. Only after we accidentally get past a Corona test station, we notice that our contact details were not asked in the lion.

Even though it was only open for half an hour, we were still able to order from the menu. (Guests after us were only allowed to choose from one order a small selection) The food was very tasty and more than plentiful for the price.
