Came across this gem of a place. Being a vegetarian it's hard to find a meal in certain places in spain, they love their jamon and sea food ! But this place has few good vegetarian options. Customer service is excellent. The young chap was quite patient with me not knowing spanish, as I have come across other places where they dont care to help you with the menu and they just throw patatas bravas in front of you ! What Kristiants doesn't like about Nou Cafe:
This is not reccomendable. The meny was not correctly translated, we ended not up with what we ordered. The food quality was not the worst. We had to ask over and over again to get what we ordered. Not only did it take an awful long time, rhey seem to forget the orders (makes sence for the long wait). The pizza had to be bought in a local supermercado, a cheap box pizza not properly heated. In total we spent 2 hours... View all feedback.

My wife and I had the fixed price menu. We were suhrprised by the size of the starters and the mains for such a reasonable price. All cooked and presented well. Excellent value
We had a bolognese and carbonara. Poor food. Score olny becouse service had a smile. I did not even order a coffe after meal.

There must be dozens of places offering Tapas in Blanes but this smallish place does them very well. You can select the same menu in three different sizes, largest is E18 for a choice of any five from 25-30 dishes. Outside there are six or seven tables, inside there are eleven, most seating two. The owner and one other waiter are at the front, there is presumably someone cooking behind the scenes. We had Choritzo sausages, mushrooms, tortilla, mussels and Russa salad. Very well stocked bar reminded me of older establishments, lots of gin and beer choice. You get served quickly and food arrives quickly. I'd have liked to have stayed and taken advantage of the bar, the owner looked like he'd make a good Vermouth. Decor is interesting, old Nestle posters, objects that inspire the imagination, felt like the sort of place that would attract interesting people. There are plenty of other choices around but this place feels more homely and welcoming. Food is good and keenly priced.
