The Viking Cafe is fantastic! It's a far cry from any cheap franchise. I stumbled upon this gem while hunting south of Blanchardville after a long, chilly morning, and it was just what I needed. The atmosphere was lively and clean, and the staff truly added to the overall charm. There were plenty of seats at the counter, but since we were exhausted, we chose a booth instead. The service was exceptional—quick and attentive. I ordered the special along with a cup of homemade chicken noodle soup and some hot tea. My friend opted for the biscuits and gravy with coffee. Every dish was perfectly prepared—the biscuits were fluffy, and the gravy was delightful.
My friends and I always make a point to stop by this place whenever we're in the area. The food is excellent, and the service is fantastic!
I went for breakfast and was hoping to find Country Fried Steak or Corned Beef Hash, but neither was available. I ended up ordering the Biscuits and Gravy, which were quite good. The service was fast and the staff were polite.
