I can understand why some might refer to it as a “Beef roast,” but it's truly the best ribeye steak in the area! It's large, thick, tender, and juicy—perfectly cooked! View all feedback.
The best restaurant in the middle of nowhere. If you come to 5:45, wait at least one hour to come in. We have about 7:00 local time and waited for 1 hour 15 minutes, especially because some other people have tried to wait and trouble us. Although this is a pain, there is an indication of how popular the place is. With COVID regulations, it serves 50 percent of the dining room that contributes to longer waiting times. But we thought it was worth waiting. My wife has the shrimps and scallops, I have the crab claws. We had both salads and cheeses for our sides and share the onion rings for a starter. I think the grilled food was better than the fired claws. It was really great tasting grilled seafood, some of the best we had. My crab claws were a little small, something they apologised and was not as good as I hoped, but still very acceptable and tasty. The onion rings were homemade, crispy, thin and fantastic. Another thing you need to know, they only take cash and controls, so be ready. Also be willing to think that you are on the wrong road because it will seem that you are guided to l; the middle of the forests. Well, yes, but there's the restaurant. It is a unique gastronomic option with great food, so if you are looking for something else, this is the place.
Take your meals to go and watch the sunset over the Chattahoochee River! If you can’t get a seat, anyway. This is my favorite restaurant in the South, perhaps the world. The steak and seafood here are amazing. This is an old school restaurant which is run with passion and in the owners’ own style. You are welcomed onto The Log Cabin property as if you were visiting longtime neighbors; greeted by sweet dogs, saying hello to other guests, friendly staff, and a classic setting. They have limited days and hours, and the quality is very high as a result. This is the way that all small businesses should be. A friend grew up in the area and recommended The Log Cabin to me. I was returning to Fort Rucker from Tallahassee and decided to stop at The Log Cabin. The drive and the restaurant were perfect. I miss the Adirondack Mountains, and this restaurant has that country and outdoor atmosphere of the ADK’s. Beware the wait times are very long and they do not accept credit cards but if you face a wait, a scenic overview of the river is just two minutes down the road. It’s perfect.
It's what I've come to expect; perfection. Don't forget your cash or checks. No credit/debit cards.
We took a ride on Saturday afternoon and the bike lead us to this hidden little jewel. Laid back old school family atmosphere, amazing food, and a staff that treats you like you have been best friends since high school. We will make this place a regular riding destination.
What truly makes The Log Cabin stand out is its warm and inviting atmosphere. Mr. Gene and the staff play a crucial role in making this place so charming. They genuinely want you to have a wonderful dining experience. The entire team works incredibly hard, but you'd never know it from how cozy and at home they make you feel. While the wait can be a bit lengthy, trust me, it's worth every moment. During the wait, it feels like a tailgate in your own front yard—a perfect opportunity to reconnect with friends you haven't seen in a while, or even meet new ones by the end of the night. The friendly vibe is contagious. One thing to keep in mind is that they prefer cash or check payments, which aligns with their laid-back style. With delicious food, a welcoming atmosphere, and friendly staff, The Log Cabin offers a memorable experience every time. Don't miss out!
