What Martha Milien doesn't like about Blakely Chicken:
It's OK. It was fire back in the day. Prices went up, and quality went down... Did I say that? Yep Service: Take out Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $10–20 Food: 3 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 4 View all feedback.
This place is tooooooo good. The wife's family comes from Blakely. We'll get out a few times a year... The children and I always come with a reason to sneak out and run a chicken. Last time we got caught... We were missed at the family meeting, and one of the mother-in-laws told the elders we sneak out for chicken. I have a call to bring back enough for her whole clan. Give me a pretty penny... But it was worth it... That's a fucking good chicken!
Worlds best roasted chicken. This place should be on Diners Drive Ins and Dives. It's the ridiculously good chicken you ever put in your mouth. Nothing compares it. Your life is not complete if you don't eat here!
This is an excellent place to get homemade style chicken. The fried chicken is great! You have a drive-thru or you can hit the benches outside. I'll be back soon.
7. April 2018 · by willoughbyandy · in Fried Chicken, Georgia, South GA · Leave a comment. This story is probably best told as the fried chicken-das-fast-gate-away. In Eufala we were as close as in foreseeable time to Blakely Chicken – within an hours drive. It had hit my radar in an article in Garden n Gun with this quote from Linton Hopkins:
Been here plenty of times, all the way from the DMV...The chicken umm umm ! I hope ya 'll check them folks if in that area. Bojangles, Popeyes, KFC don 't have s%*t on them, I 'll tell ya that ! Oh yeah, you betta get some of that fried okra too... It ain 't nothing to it, pass the peas (Mama Payne voice) !
