GUMBA'S IS BACK! Under new ownership, the restaurant has returned to its roots as a warm, welcoming, family-friendly establishment. The original Hobie Chobie burger is back on the menu, served on a grilled roll just like it should be. The service was excellent and the burgers and fries were delicious. The menu offers a variety of options including burgers, pizza, salads, appetizers, and Italian classics. We have been coming here for years and are pleased with the new/old changes!
It's now Gumba's back to the old name and family vibe. Great food i like the salad selection and pizza options! Great beer and wine selection finally a pizza place with decent drink options. This is really the only truly family oriented dinner house in the area. They even have video games old school!
We visited this restaurant while attending the longboard races, as there weren't many options open in town. On our first night, we tried the chicken parmesan and it was delicious! The following night, we returned for the combo pizza, which was also fresh and amazing. The beer selection was fantastic and the new owners were very friendly to talk to. We are excited to return on our next visit and try more items on the menu!
I unexpectedly found this restaurant after spending the afternoon in Graegle. Most of the other restaurants in town were closed (New Year's Eve day). My group was hungry, but luckily we saw that this place was open. The building has a cool, old vibe with lots of history. It took a bit of time to get seated since there was only one server for the whole place. The food took longer than I had anticipated, but it was worth the wait. Everything we ordered - burgers, spaghetti meatballs, and pizza - was fantastic. They also had a good selection of craft beer and craft sodas for the kids. I will definitely be visiting this restaurant again.
Food was delicious, but I will only post 2 stars due to the waitress. A member of our dining party brought in an opened bottle of water. Since our family member has to take a pill prior to eating, she was trying to drink the requisite water. The waitress called her Sweetheart and loudly lectured us about no outside food and drink, plus public health reasons why bacteria in an outside beverage could cause illness and thus a lawsuit against the restaurant. She was happy to offer us a purchase of their bottled water. I don 't know if outside food and drink rules apply to water. I 'll research that. The two stars are for the patronizing lecture of a 71 year old woman in a loud voice. On top of that, it was her birthday...so we just wanted to disappear. We didn 't have other dining choices, since we were delayed by a heavy early season snowstorm. In conclusion, if the bottled water rule is true, the waitress needs to learn discretion and manners. We were embarrassed and felt scolded and unwelcome.
