This place is top-notch! It was the perfect way to end the ACC Championship. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive. We sat at the bar, sampled a few different drinks, and had a great time. View all feedback.
What Mars N doesn't like about Club Bad:
Yikes, we should 've read reviews before we sat down instead of right in the middle of our meal. It was the overwhelming salt and pepper seasoning on the smash burger. Oat was inescapable on all of our food, burgers the fries Apparently, patrons have been leaving critical views of this place. When the waiter asked if everything tasted ok, we just bit our tongues. The food was fine but nothing special. The club sandwich was stacked too high for a normal jaw though. I went here specifically for a Reuben sandwich that I saw on their website, but they apparently don't serve that on their game day menu. Pretty dissapointing
Let me start by saying, I come from areas with awesome food and to be fair, Blacksburg or Christiansburg, VA are not a food towns by any stretch of one's imagination. Bull and Bones is ok, but overpriced for ok. The steaks I have had there were good, don't get me wrong. Everything else is a bit bland for my liking. But I am comparing to Chicago, New York, Las Vegas, etc... where you can get great foods nearly 24/7. The staff at both locations are wonderful. Southern hospitality. The atmosphere in Blacksburg is like a sports bar on one side and a sit-down restaurant on the other. Christiansburg is more sit-down restauranty.
The concept of having brunch and not having access to the full menu was fully frustrating. Also, being charged for water is ridiculous as well. This is not a poor review of the staff that I interacted with but the decisions of the ownership.

Bull and bones brewhouse is an American eatery with a sports bar theme located in Blacksburg Virginia. My buddy and I was on a small road trip through North Carolina, Virginia and West Virginia when we decided to take a stop in Blacksburg. It was dinner time and this place had a cool sounding name so we made the leap. Interior is very spacious and large and has as mentioned above a sports bar type theme but with a bit more upscale surrounding. Our service here was good. Better than the workers themselves expected. The waiter told us immeditly upfront that we are short staff so I apologize in advance for any long waits . Which I always appreciate up front honesty. However they was extremely quick (less than 10 min and he kept our cups filled. Food wise I personally went with a chicken quesadilla which is always my safe and comfort meal at American sports bar type places. It was a solid dish and larger than some other chicken qiesdualla apps a place will give you. Salsa had a unique taste (house made maybe? but it was pretty good. My buddy is a big Reuben sandwich guy so that is what he got. He seemed overall satisfied with his choice. Overall solid place with a cool name and and nice atmosphere. Was a perfect place to unwind after a long day of traveling and exploring to grab a quick bite of comfort food and relax.
