Contribute FeedbackSubway on South Shore Promenade presents a mixed experience for patrons. While some customers appreciate the friendly staff and fresh ingredients, others lament deteriorating service standards and cleanliness issues. Busy shifts reveal great efforts from individual employees, often left to manage multiple tasks, creating challenges during peak times. Positive interactions can brighten the dining experience, yet inconsistency and unnoticed managerial oversight concern regulars. The layout and ambiance are praised, particularly for those seeking quick meals, but there’s a clear call for enhanced staff training and attention to operational standards. Overall, it’s a place with potential but in need of managerial focus.
I am a huge fan of Subway restaurants, so whenever I see one and am feeling hungry, I always make sure to stop by. The Subway outlet on South Shore Promenade was especially good. It had the standard Subway layout with big bay windows, typical Subway interior, and a glass fronted serving bar, making it a really cool spot. My twin brother Stephen and I visited on a Wednesday afternoon and decided to try the tuna sandwich. It was prepared with fresh ingredients right in front of us and was absolutely amazing – so tasty and filling. The prices were great value for the quality of the food, and it was the perfect meal to fuel us up for a few hours of exploring the pubs in the area. This Subway is easy to find on Waterloo Road and is definitely worth a visit if you're in the area.
I visited the restaurant today and the server was very polite and followed all the procedures correctly. However, I could tell he was feeling the pressure from an evaluation because he was being closely monitored and questioned by a woman who did not have a uniform or badge. She was also not wearing a hat while behind the counter, which is not acceptable. Regardless of who you are, a hat should always be worn when working behind the counter. I hope the server passed the evaluation.
This Subway shares the space with a fast food outlet. It was empty when I arrived. This was only the second Subway that I have ever been to and based on this experience, I would definitely eat here again and would choose to eat at...Subway a lot more often. The lady who served me was very polite and patient. She explained the process to me as I have limited experience with Subway. I have special dietary needs and so had to check the allergen menu before ordering anything. It is displayed prominently on the wall by the counter and there is also a smaller version of it on the counter-top. This information was greatly appreciated. There was no rush and I was pleased that I could take my time to make sure that everything was right. I found plenty that I could eat and created my own salad. The ingredients were fresh and the portions were generous. It was delicious and excellent value for money.
