You definitely won't leave hungry at this place. I tried the regular vegan breakfast (£6), which included baked beans, a hash brown, a Linda McCartney sausage, avocado, toast, tomatoes, and optional vegan black pudding. The food was delicious and portions were generous. The big breakfast option offers extra of each item for just a few pounds more. I also ordered an oat milk flat white, which was more like a filter coffee than a traditional flat white, but still enjoyable.
I don't normally have high expectations for vegan breakfast choices in restaurants, but I was pleasantly surprised by the breakfast here. The avocado on the side was a nice touch, and the server even offered us some vegan black pudding. The service was excellent, and there were several vegan options clearly marked on the menu. It's not easy to find vegan food in Blackpool, so it was great to have a place with so many options. We originally planned to dine elsewhere, but they were closed. I'm so glad we ended up having dinner here instead.
I enjoyed the breakfast at this restaurant. The hash browns were delicious and I was able to swap the avocado for an extra portion. The only downside was that the mushrooms and sausages were slightly overcooked. Overall, I had a good experience and will definitely visit again. Plus, they give you a generous amount of tea with your own pot!
I thought I'd give compass a try for my breakfast. I ordered the great vegan breakfast and was disappointed. The service was pleasant and prompt. I didn't have to wait too long until my food arrives. The food arrived and I was satisfied with the amount I received. Breakfast was well presented. My only criticism would be that the sausages, although fully cooked, could have done with a little more color on them. I will definitely try the other vegan options available at compass.
I ordered a vegan breakfast (before lockdown), to my dismay as the food was brought over 1 of my vegan sausages rolled off the plate and onto the floor. The cafe was very quiet we were 1 of only 2 couples in. The staff member didn 't say much but went to amend and brought me a new sausage in a small bowl 30 seconds later. As it wasn 't peak time I found it difficult to believe this was a fresh item (which I did ask and the server said.... 'sure ' ... and if it was these must be made and left in heated containers. The flat white we ordered was basically a weak cappuccino with no sign of textured milk, and the Americano had no crema unfortunately, and resembled a weak filter coffee. There was a gentlemen sat at the bar (assumingly he works there) whom glanced over a lot, almost staring, as well as appeared to be gossiping rather loudly. Very disappointing as we 'd read reviews and were looking forward to our visit.
