However, others praised the bustling atmosphere, enjoyable classic breakfasts, and attentive service, noting great value for money. Overall, while some diners have encountered inconsistencies, the café maintains a loyal following, underscoring its potential as a beloved eatery for those seeking a hearty breakfast.
I liked the breakfast. Beautiful hathbrowns and even like I swap the avocado for an extra. only the mushrooms and the sausage were slightly undercooked. but in everything I enjoyed and will go again. also, they get a lot of tee with their own pot! updated by previous review on 2022-02-28
I thought I'd come and give a try for my breakfast. I ordered the big vegan breakfast and I was disappointed. the service was pleasant and prompt. I didn't have to wait too long until my food arrives. the food arrived and I was satisfied with the amount I received. the breakfast was well presented. my only criticism would be that the sausages, although fully cooked, could have done with a little more color on them. I will definitely try the other vegan options available at compass.
You definitely won't leave hungry at this place. I tried the regular vegan breakfast (£6), which included baked beans, a hash brown, a Linda McCartney sausage, avocado, toast, tomatoes, and optional vegan black pudding. The food was delicious and portions were generous. The big breakfast option offers extra of each item for just a few pounds more. I also ordered an oat milk flat white, which was more like a filter coffee than a traditional flat white, but still enjoyable.
I don't normally have high expectations for vegan breakfast choices in restaurants, but I was pleasantly surprised by the breakfast here. The avocado on the side was a nice touch, and the server even offered us some vegan black pudding. The service was excellent, and there were several vegan options clearly marked on the menu. It's not easy to find vegan food in Blackpool, so it was great to have a place with so many options. We originally planned to dine elsewhere, but they were closed. I'm so glad we ended up having dinner here instead.
