Description

Nestled near the seafront, Beachcomber offers a varied dining experience that can leave patrons feeling satisfied or disgruntled. While some visitors rave about perfectly cooked steaks and great service, others cite issues with frozen sides and lackluster dishes. The warm ambiance is contrasted by reports of poor customer service and instances of oversights in billing. Groups of diners have enjoyed generous portions and scenic views, but others departed disappointed after subpar appetizers and unresponsive staff. Overall, Beachcomber presents a potential gem for adventurers willing to look past a few flaws, but caution may be warranted.

Visited for my sons 10th birthday and informed them of my severe nut allergy. Was assured the food i ordered was free from nuts so we ordered and spent around £65 for myself my son and my partner. Throughly enjoyed the food however there was obviously some cross contamination as my body later went into anaphylactic shock, i had to give myself my epipen in front of my son and 999 were called and i was taken to hospital. My partner contacted the restaurant and they assured there was no nuts in the meal. I have later emailed the restaurant and they have emailed back, but after the second time have ignored my email. I really dont want this to happen to someone else, especially a child hence why i am leaving this review. I feel i have no choice after lack of communication from staff!

We've been to the marakesh markets and eaten twice this year........but this place is something else doesn't look great when you walk in...gave it a chance. Ordered pate was worst thing iv ever eaten in my life asked staff to return it to kitchen the girl returned and asked what was wrong with it as all.staff had tried it and tasted OK. It tasted like dog food horrible. Omelette for main wasn't cooked properly and was mushy. Husbands steak asked for med rare blood was dripping out it got taken back and cooked a bit more and although was cooked was not nice. Starter ribs came out in like 3 min and tasted like farmfoods....kids pizza also cheap frozen pizza. In the end they still charged us for 2 starters we didn't eat. We wanted to complain more but felt bad and didn't want them thinking we were just looking for a free meal. Only here for 3 nights and 1st night ruined. Do not go here

Was lucky to find the Beachcomber open as just spotted illuminated signs when passing on a tram. The Sirloin was cooked to perfection but I think the chips were frozen which was a disappointment. The red wine accompaniment was delicious but I think that they overlooked the fact that the markings on the wine glass said 350ml serving. I was charged more and for a 450ml serving. A glass of wine does not go to my head and I did spot it on the bill but as it was such a good quality I let it go. Only two tiny onion rings and half a small tomato. Times must be hard.
