This has truly been one of the most pleasant getaways I've ever experienced. The service was friendly and attentive, with staff going above and beyond to ensure my comfort. I enjoyed a dreamy bed, delicious meals at the restaurant and during breakfast, and spacious rooms in a lovely setting. Thank you for a wonderful stay—I will definitely return! View all feedback.
What Theresia Rolfson doesn't like about Blue Jax:
14 of us stayed for a murder mystery weekend. Alternate 3 course meal was provided but inflexible for 4 Coeliacs who were made to feel their meal was based on choice rather than necessity due to a medical condition. Therefore the choice of the other guests were limited. At breakfast when we requested more eggs we were told we must have been hungry as we had already eaten the allocated amount . The same went for the fruit. Accommodation was quaint and adequate.
It was very nice and cosy and the staff are beautiful. large community room with interesting books, beautiful harbour to sip, very relaxing.
Stayed here last night for work was fabulous comfy Rooms and bed was fab we will definitely be back for leisure xx Thank you Vicky your hospitality was most welcoming and fantastic
Group of 10 people for murder mystery night on the 31st of Jan. Alternate 3 course meal was fabulous and good portion sizes. hosts were full of energy and really kept the mystery on track and loved that they joined in with characters adding to the experience. very attentive with serving and were very patient with taking heaps of photos for us. really enjoyable experience for a different night out and everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves! Would highly recommend!
From reservation to checkout, the george was superb! jude’s communications, hospitality, and brekky were spot on. the room and bed were lovely, and the evening port was a really sweet touch. highly, highly recommend! only disappointment was my hubby wanted to meet some ghosts in this 1871 guest house. no such luck; guess that calls for a return experience.
A wonderful night for our friends wedding anniversary. We had great fun at the murder mystery dinner. The food was great. Accommodation excellent, in a 130 year old building with the world's longest chesterfield. Jeff and Vicky are superb hosts!
