The Rock Inn - Blackburn with Darwen

Tockholes is a charming village with good walks and views. The Rock is a great place for quick pint, snack or substantial meal. What really makes it special is the welcome from hosts Vass, Zoe and family; they work incredibly hard to make people feel at home. I would recommend booking as the restaurant is not huge and it can get busy at peak times.

We had a wonderful evening at The Rock. It is a family-owned business where everyone receives a warm welcome and the service is surprisingly good (unlike many national chains these days). The mix of pub locals and diners creates a friendly atmosphere. The restaurant has a cozy ambiance and the menu is reasonably priced, with a specials board offering plenty of options. We all chose the roast beef and it was perfect - hot, generous in portion size, and delicious. I am happy to support and recommend The Rock to others.

We went to this restaurant for a family meal and found the food to be good overall. Everyone enjoyed their meals, which were served quickly and hot. The staff and management were extremely friendly and accommodating. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming. The only suggestion we have is that the festive turkey dinner could use some sprouts. Thank you for taking care of us, we will definitely be returning.

Went today after someone recommended it to us. It didn’t.disappoint triò of bruschetta shared to start then roast chicken dinner and cheese and onion pie really enjoyed will return.

Came with the family for lunch and was very impressed. We've been going to the Rock for years and it was a shame when it closed. It has been given a lovely makeover. Didn't realise that the owners of Mangiamo had taken over, which explains the fabulous food. The food really was delicious. Lunch menu was great value and a deserves a special mention for the saganaki prawns from the main menu...delicious and a real taste of Greece. Lovely , friendly service. Will definitely be back. Best meal out we have had in ages.
