Fireside Kitchen - Black Hawk

Guess I should've read the reviews before coming here. Oh well, my mistake. Got a burger, they asked me how I wanted it cooked so I said medium. Is there a level above well done? Dead? Scorched? Black? That's what I got. I would've told the server how it was but she never asked me. Between that and the $9 beer that they couldn't even fill to the top it is safe to say I won't be returning. My wife also got a $12 mimosa in a tiny wine glass so there's that too.

We had breakfast after a long night of gambling and Fireside Kitchen was busy SUPER. Our waitress, Misty, was so amazing. She was so friendly and made sure our food came out quickly and hot. Very recommended and I hope you can have your service so that you can get the superior service we need to experience.

Our waitress, Vera, was fantastic. Despite having many tables to tend to, she made everyone feel like they were her only priority. When the kitchen served me a raw sausage patty, Vera quickly fixed the issue. The pancake was enormous, and the prices were quite reasonable.

I highly recommend the blackened salmon!! It was perfectly cooked, not over cooked and dry. Excellent flavor and very moist. I would definitely return for this meal again! I substituted garlic mashed potatoes for the polenta.

The burgers were excellent and the breakfast was enjoyable as well. My husband and I noticed a waffle in our breakfast order. I'm not particularly fond of waffles, but the service was outstanding.
