What Arl J doesn't like about Gardeners Rest Tearooms:
Lovely looking cafe but shocking service. Were seated for about 5 minutes when another 2 couples arrived and were seated. 4 staff behind the counter chatting and eating, nobody serving. Waitress eventually came over and served the other customers before us. That was the end of my experience there as we got up and left. Very bad customer service in my opinion. View all feedback. What User likes about Gardeners Rest Tearooms:
We have visited a few times and we do enjoy it, but sometimes the staff are so slow. When waiting to be seated three members of staff saw us and walked the other way and then one went and stood on her phone behind the counter. Not great. The place wasn't even busy. View all feedback.

read moreThe cafe has a charming ambiance but is riddled with service issues, from slow staff to overpriced menu items. While some dishes are tasty, others fall flat due to poor quality and lackluster presentation. However, visitors praise the variety of food and drinks offered, along with the unique option to dine in a designated dog-friendly area. Despite some shortcomings, the cafe remains a popular spot for many, with beautiful homemade cakes that are a highlight for patrons. Although improvements are needed in certain areas, the overall experience at this restaurant is a mixed bag of highs and lows.
