Chamelee Tandori - Blaby

I recently ordered takeout from this restaurant, and while I've had better meals, it was still decent. I opted for the chicken tikka masala, and was surprised to find that the chicken was sliced rather than in chunks. The dish had a lot of sauce, which was a bit peppery for my taste. The rice, naan, and poppadoms were all as expected.

Although this Indian restaurant may not be the most authentic I have visited, the polite and friendly staff elevated my experience from average to good. The food is decent with a standard selection to choose from. I started with some sizable but slightly dry bhajis before ordering the Chicken Pathia, a hot and sour chicken dish with garlic, onion, red chili, black pepper, and tomato puree. Served with a naan bread, it was satisfying and filled me up. If you're seeking quick and friendly service for Indian cuisine in Blaby, this is the place to visit.

Every year on our birthdays, we always go to Chamelee with my godparents. The food is amazing, and the staff are incredibly friendly. They are always polite and take great care of us. Both the kids and adults always eagerly anticipate our next visit!

We continue to go to this restaurant at least twice a month and sometimes have a take away. The food served is always superb and that is why we have been customers since 1994. We have three god children who love going here as well and having a meal as a birthday treat. No matter what we have from the menu we are confident it will be good especially the chef's specials. Well priced and very pleasant staff completes the dining experience and always enjoyable.

Not been here in a long time, ordered today for a Lamb Biryani, Vegetable Thali Lamb Karahi and we will definitely back! Portion sizes are large (I’ve saved half of mine for tomorrow was so much! Food tasted incredible, thank you very much! Lovely service too, ordered online and they even gave us a courtesy call to let us know they’d received our order and changed a meal free of charge for us as we couldn’t find the Karahi on the list. Thanks again!
