Lighthouse Sound - Bishopville

We were seated 20 minutes after our reservation because they were still cleaning up after an event. During our dinner, we were the only ones in the restaurant, even though there were clean tables available for us to sit at. They chose to wait before seating us for some reason. Typically, the 2 for $79 deal offers great value. I also must say that the view is my favorite on the DelMarVa Peninsula.

The room was quite cold, and we had to eat with our coats on. Unfortunately, two people in our group got sick, likely from the rice or the key lime pie they shared. Everything else was very nice, though. My husband and I both had the crab cakes, and they were excellent. Dinner took a little longer than expected, but both the waiter and the manager were apologetic about it.

We absolutely love dining at Lighthouse Sound! The service is exceptional, and the staff is incredibly friendly. The view of the Ocean City skyline is always breathtaking, and the dining room has a cozy lodge-like atmosphere with a stone fireplace. It’s spacious, with floor-to-ceiling windows that allow you to take in the stunning views while sitting in comfortable chairs at nicely spaced-out large tables, creating a sense of privacy for your group. Last night was no exception—our server, Stephen, was very attentive, and we all had a wonderful time and enjoyed a delicious meal! Lighthouse Sound is truly a hidden gem, and we feel so fortunate to live nearby, making it convenient for us as regulars.

The restaurant atmosphere was beautiful with Christmas decorations of white lights and poinsettias. Our waitress, Autumn, was outstanding and took very good care of us from start to finish. 5 out of 6 entrees were perfectly prepared, rockfish was undercooked even after sending it back. Crab dip was delicious! The major downer for us was that it was very cold which did make the experience a bit of a downer. It's difficult to enjoy eating when you're cold.

I took my family there for dinner. All of the entrees we had were excellent. The waiter was very attentive to our needs. We go here 5 -6 times a year and have never been disappointed.
