Reviews - Screaming Banshee
Reviews summary
Located in Bisbee, this restaurant has received both rave reviews and scathing criticism. While some customers have praised the gluten-free pizza as the best they've ever had, others have found the experience to be less than pleasant. Complaints such as poor service, bad dining conditions, and a hostile atmosphere have been raised. However, there are also positive notes on the friendliness of the staff, the quality of the food, and the overall vibe of the restaurant. Whether you're enjoying a delicious meal or dealing with subpar service, this restaurant seems to offer a mix of experiences as diverse as the town it calls home.
Was Saif M at Screaming Banshee a mag?
It's my favorite restaurant in Bisbee. They are dog friendly and have a front and back patio. We were invited to eat on the back patio, provided water for our two pits and taken care of. At the end of our meal we went for a walk in the area and returned to find someone had double parked and blocked us in. The staff were kind enough to help deal with the situation as the person blocking us in was higher than a kite an... View all feedback.
What priscila dislikes about Screaming Banshee:
Headed here for a bite during a day trip. Atmosphere was cool, the restaurant was decorated pretty cool. Ordered a cadillac margarita, it was alright. Woodfired pizza is always great, but lacked some flavour. Relatively busy, which is expected on a saturday night but the service was a bit lousy. Waitress was nice when she was around, but that was once when we sat down and then again when asking for a check. Was unabl... View all feedback.

The pizza was delicious and the honey chipotle wings were really good. My family and I were (unsuccessfully) trying to take a family selfie and the server offered to take the picture for us. The overall environment and vibe is great.
Food was amazing. The SPIN DIP was my favorite. To be honest, I don?t like pizza, but I came here in 2019 and I had to let my wife try it because the pizza was so good. The cucumber margarita was very refreshing. Every staff member we encountered wasvery polite and soft spoken. Only thing was we sat outside because it was kinda humid inside.
We went here because the reviews were great, but we did not have the same experience. The pizza was pizza... nothing special about it. The calzone that my mom ordered was delicious (breading was buttery and melt-in-your-mouth yum), wish I would haveordered that. The screaming dip tasted like only ricotta cheese. We asked about a pasta we saw a pic of online because wecouldn 't find any pasta on the menu, and our waitress made it seem like we should know what the pasta is. The menu looks fun butis chaotic, which matches the name of the restaurant (I guess that 's quirky fun, but was hard to read). Our waitress seemedsnarky and made the experience uncomfortable. Since we had a party of 8, the tip was already figured into the total, butrecommended tip amounts were still provided...we were about to give our usual tip when we noticed 18% is already figured in (Ihate when restaurants do this because then we tip only the 18% when we normally would tip 25%, only because it 's irritating thatwe almost tipped 43% had we not been paying attention). So it looked like the waitress got less from us and she stood therelooking at our signed tab and asked why we tipped so low, was my service not good? Will not go here again. She also pointedout when we ordered that we 're not ordering enough food for 8 people and she tried to get us to order a third pizza. Three ofour people are little kids. We ordered two pizzas, a calzone and an appetizer and it was plenty. I won 't go here again.
Today was my second time eating here and I would definitely go back when in Bisbee. The building is charming and the pizza is satisfying. My boyfriend and I shared the Screaming Banshee pizza (minus the onions) and it was good. We got it ?bloody? andwith meatballs. I don?t think I?d order this pizza when going back just because it wasn?t as flavorful as I would have liked, but no doubt that the ingredients were of good quality and the crust is so tasty.

I 'd mention quality of the food as a redeeming quality before I get into the issues but... We did not get seated! My boyfriend and I are visiting his family in Tucson and we went to Bisbee for sight seeing and to shop. It was already 5:45pm when we got to the Screaming Banshee and we were hungry after walking around all day. We enter and there was 7 of us, 5 adults and 2 tweens... We 're standing around waiting and someone in our party asks if we seat ourselves to which the guy at the counter making the pizza responds, no, someone will be with you in a sec. Completely normal response, so we just stand around listening to the loud music they have behind the bar. This (black haired) woman comes up and says Oh look at this group of zombies who waltzed in expecting service! and we brush it off and say there 's 7 of us. She pushes past our group then another (blonde) woman comes by and the previous worker fills her in, saying well these 7 people walked in here asking for our service! in the most demeaning tone ever. The blonde lady says oh well we can 't sit that many right now.. we can put you on a waitlist and call you when we have an opening. We ask how long the wait is and she just says we 'll have to wait. It 's also freezing out, probably like 35F and it snowed a few hours earlier so we 're saying how we can wait inside since its cold, to which the black haired lady says we have to wait for a call to get served, which we assumed was her kicking us out. They were also saying they can 't promise to seat us inside due to our party size. After we left, a group of our size was waiting at the door and the blonde lady opens the door for them very politely and seats them immediately.... I 'd also like to mention there was maybe 2 people sharing one table and that was all the business they had. No one at the bar, no one in any other tables, it just seemed like they did not want to do the work. We also were going to share 2 pizzas max, but even if we ALL ordered, we 'd be paying them damn well. I really do not understand what the issue is here. Rude and unhelpful service. My boyfriend 's cousins have brought their family and friends here and have LOVED the food, but this exchange is just such a bummer and they said they won 't bring their service there again.

I had a fantastic time here. The mood is great. My waitress was super friendly and nice. Interior and exterior seats are available. I ordered garlic, margherita, pizza and a kilo of lifter. Everything was excellent. I'm definitely back.
Cool location with many local touches. The staff was pretty good, but clearly overworked. The service was a little slow when we left. The food was pretty good, but we were not a big fan of pizza sauce. It tasted as if it had low quality cans tomato. Another decent option.
Love goes into this small town and eats in this facility, which is quite a lot a clamp of Bisbee. The pizzas and toppings are very fresh and to order. The waiting staff is pleasant. The atmosphere and background music are a good mix of what this restaurant represents: a streaming banshee!
The best pizza ever! Can't say enough good things...fancy salad and margarita were so delicious, our waitress from Maine was personable, very cool decorations the epitomy of the bisbee artsy vibe...
