Sutton Fish - Birmingham
Sutton Fish
Description
Tucked away in Walmley village, this local chip shop has garnered both admiration and criticism. While it's praised for its high-quality food and reasonable prices—including delectable fish and tasty mixed kebabs—recent customer service experiences have notably dampened its reputation. Complaints about long wait times, unwelcoming staff, and inconsistent food quality have emerged, leading some loyal patrons to reconsider their visits. Despite these drawbacks, the chip shop remains a favorite for many, particularly for its classic offerings and family-friendly atmosphere, appealing to both locals and visitors alike. Parking, however, presents an ongoing challenge during peak times.
Feedback
I ordered burgers with fries, but the fries were cold and the burgers were completely wrong, despite me repeating my order twice.
The food wasn't piping hot and I won't be returning. The portion sizes have gotten smaller since my last visit and the prices have gone up significantly.
This restaurant is probably the best chip shop in the area. The prices are reasonable and the food is high quality. I used to go to cheaper places in Erdington, but for just a pound or two more, you can get much better value here. The mixed kebab meat is delicious and the fish is tasty as well. You can tell it's a popular spot because there is often a line out the door. It's a local chip shop, so it does close relatively early around 9:30pm. This means that the selection may be limited after 9:00pm.
Absolutely shameful !! A disgrace. The older woman with the eyebrow tattooed disgusting how she spoke to customers. Her body language is utterly shocking.Had to wait a very long time for food and wasn’t even that busy. I WONT BE RETURNING.Chips was hard and crusty. You have lost faithful customers.I wouldn’t recommend this hell on earth to my worst enemy.she was Gordon Ramsey at its finiest.CHEEK!!!
