I ordered from here off uber eats, I wouldn't again as they sent me burnt rice stuck to the tray and 3 pieces or beef. Spent quite a bit for that meal just for it to go in the bin as the shop was closed when my order arrived a hour late.

The food was delicious and tasted amazing. The customer service was exceptional and I couldn't have asked for better food. The chili sauce with the mandi was delicious and I would definitely recommend it to friends and family. There is also family seating available for those who want more privacy. Overall, the food and customer service were perfect. Highly recommended!

This is a good place to eat if you like RICE with plantains. The waiter, Abdi, was very helpful. So was his brother Abdi. The owner's name and the cleaner's name is also Abdi. But the food was good.

From the outside, this restaurant may look a bit run-down and flashy, but once you step inside, you'll be transported to a lively and bustling atmosphere. Despite the intimidating vibes from the heated discussions among the Somali men, don't let it deter you. The cafeteria-style setup allows for an informal experience - just approach the counter, let them know what you want, and a friendly face will guide you through the daily offerings. From grilled fish to succulent lamb shanks, served with generous portions of rice or delicious pancake-style bread, you won't be disappointed. And the coffee is top-notch, possibly the best and most affordable espresso in Birmingham. While it may be unusual to see only male customers, the service is still great once they realize you're there. The staff take pride in explaining their cuisine and are eager to ensure you enjoy your meal. The prices are incredibly reasonable, the portions are generous, and they're happy to pack up any leftovers for you to take home. This place definitely deserves five stars.

I had never previously had the pleasure of Somalian food, but would definitely visit again to taste more. Food is served canteen-style, with giant and filling portions. Much of the menu seems to rely on meats that have been cooked until very tender. The staff were happy to explain what all the meals were and offer suggestions. The prices were very reasonable. The restaurant is very popular and so could appear a bit dirty to some visitors because the furniture is well-worn. I appreciated the curtains that can be drawn across the booths to provide privacy to those who want it.
