As we drove up Lozells Road,... read more I have previously reviewed Shazanz. While traveling home from the North to Dorset, we stopped for a meal and I remembered Shazanz. As we drove up Lozells Road, I was disappointed to see that the restaurant was closed. However, I was thrilled to discover that they had moved to a bigger location with more seating downstairs and upstairs. We received a warm welcome upon entering and were pleasantly surprised with complimentary mocktails at our table. The food we ordered was delicious and unlike typical curry houses. Shazanz specializes in grilled dishes, especially those with Nagar sauce, which is hot and tasty. There are plenty of vegetarian and plant-based options on the menu as well. Previously a popular takeout spot with a small restaurant, Shazanz now has a larger space and I hope it continues to be successful. I will definitely be returning often. We enjoyed a satisfying meal and drinks for under £30 for the two of us, and the food was not only tasty but also served with a friendly attitude. I highly recommend giving it a try!

However, it is disappointing to note that the portion sizes have been cut in half and the prices have nearly doubled. Previous customers may feel that the previous place was superior. Overall, I would give it a 7/10.
