we arrived for a booking of 1:30. the tables have been set up but leave the restaurant. we then went through the bar, in the hope to find personal. there was a barmaid involved in a long conversation with a customer about the bar. after a few minutes being completely ignored, we went out. we were hoping to talk to someone at the reception, but she kept a phone call and didn't even make eye contact. Although empty and somewhat cool, probably due to the fact that we first in and it was sub-zero outside, the service and eating here is so good, and somewhat more affordable by the special two or three cures meal for not all that much money made. very beautiful, will definitely go back if we are not so in a hurry to come to a concert. I don't think we ever had such a good service.
The fish and chips were beautifully prepared, featuring a crispy batter; however, the portion size was a bit on the smaller side.
This modern continental restaurant located in the Holiday Inn hotel boasts a beautifully designed, upscale interior. The menu offers a good variety of options; we opted for the afternoon tea. While it was a simpler experience than what one might typically expect from a hotel, it was presented beautifully. The scones were warm, though there were only three finger sandwiches, and we were not offered refills. The egg mayonnaise sandwich was delicious! The cakes appeared to be sourced from a premium factory, but they were enjoyable nonetheless, featuring mini carrot and walnut cakes, a Victoria sponge, and a chocolate éclair.
The atmosphere was delightful, and the staff were very welcoming. I enjoyed the afternoon tea, but I was a bit disappointed with the selection. The scones and the small chocolate cake were delicious. However, I would have appreciated more small sandwiches, as we only received three thin slices each, which seemed a bit limited. The scones and the petite chocolate cake were certainly the highlights. The cream cake was decent too, but we both left the cinnamon cakes behind, as they just weren't to our taste. I would definitely consider coming back to try something from the lunch menu, but I probably wouldn't opt for the afternoon tea again. Overall, I’d give it 4 stars for the lovely atmosphere, great coffee, and friendly staff.
Excellent service. Made a lovely decorative table for my partner's birthday and the afternoon tea was delicious. Super friendly staff, highly recommend
