I was put on ngopi by a friend who said it was something different and she was right. it is the most cooled coffee shop in birmingham. the staff are very friendly and super in their care. they also fry in front of location with the coffee barn sat on the floor of the load, which is cool. they have a few vegan options on the menu that are limited but not bad compared to the size of the menu. I recommend the bakwan.
Fantastic Indonesian food. one of the best I had and I lived there for 5 years. only one problem is now the woman who is Indonesian, wants to come every weekend here and we live in southampton! great ambiente too. simply wished they had more on the menu than I love rendang.
Easily the most authentic Indonesian restaurant/cafe in the UK. Delicious food, amazing coffees, and good value for money. Every Saturday they have a special dish, so do ask for this if you happen to visit on a Saturday. Highly recommend the Ayam Penyet and the Iced Malted Mocha!
However, I waited an additional fifty minutes for my food and started to feel like I had been forgotten. Sitting at the table made me feel like I was in the way of others trying to order. When my food finally arrived, it looked fantastic and was incredibly tasty—I quickly devoured it. I would have loved to order more coffee and food, but the long wait times deterred me. The prices here are very reasonable, and while I suspect that my experience might have been better if I had visited at another time, I ultimately decided to leave after enjoying the delicious coffee and meal. I ended up going somewhere else for another coffee, which wasn’t nearly as good but was served instantly in a more comfortable setting. I do plan to return, maybe during the week, in hopes of a better experience since the coffee and food are truly excellent.
