The Madras curry is fantastic! And when you ask for 'very spicy ' they listen! Very pretty un-kitsch dining room and very professional friendly staff too. Highly recommended. View all feedback.
What Steve Holmes doesn't like about Maharaja:
visited this restaurant. very bad service. they just want us to go. the waitress came and asked if I brought the bill. the foods were medium-sized. they just treat us properly, like we are indians. they are happy with white people. really bad service View all feedback.
This is the most authentic indian restaurant in birmingham. it's the next thing my mom cook and the way I cook.
Eating is very bad. naans, huh, cottage cheese, pickles, brot were not fresh at all. that eat tasted as if it were frozen and also had less salt.

Great food. great service. great atmosphere. this is probably one of the best Indian foods I was. quality everywhere. it is a bit more pricier than most Indian restaurants, but it is worth pouring out once and looking for a decent place. highly recommended. great service.
Nice ambience if a bit bright. Staff are there to work not serve, would have liked some interaction especially as eating alone. I had a fish tikka to start. Fish was cooked perfectly and nice flavour. Salad was a tad random. Lamb curry was very (too rich with very tender lamb. Keema nan was not perfect, it wasn't fresh out of the tandoor and had sweated for too long before serving. Overall I'd give the service 6 and the food 7 out of 10. Would I go again? Yes, but might try somewhere else first.
