Istanbul Grill House - Birmingham

I ordered lamb chops with chips to eat in. The food arrived burnt and it was charred black and overcooked. The owner did not offer me anything in return or help the situation in anyway. I told him that I had medical condition and I...want to avoid eating blackened charred grilled meat that would be detrimental to mine or anyone else health for that matter. The owner didn't care or offer me an apology and the worst thing is, he had the audacity to charge me *full* amount for the food which most of it, I didn't eat. Very poor customer service. Avoid at all cost. I wish I had taken some pictures now..

We ate at this place, while my food was fine and that's me being honest. My brothers lamb chops were burnt almost all showing as black. When he complained, the worker and the manager both tried to justify it and said it's normal. Clearly they...don't know how to cook chops as it clearly wasn't right. We asked them to replace the chops with a burger but they just didn't bothered while giving us the impression of making one. We then asked them to remove the burnt chops off the plate and the manager just threw them in the bin. Had it been fine he would have ate them himself as the place was dead and not even busy. Now when It came to paying for food the manager was dying for every single penny and started messing about with the payment. Lamb chops with fries and salad cost he wanted and then to save him talking jibberish we just agreed upon so he can sleep at night knowing he screwed another customer over. Such attitude only come from greed and arrogance. Customer service is really bad here be warned!

Food was gorgeous and staff were friendly and attentive, definitely going back soon and loved my tea

The best food ever Everything in this restaurant is very nice and cheap they give you the amount that you pay for and the service is extremely well they are good kids that help their fathers and they are very well mannered

A genuinely good experience. Ordered a family special along with the jajik, was told by the manager that there was no need to order that as an extra as it was with the family special anyway. Then they served us with bread and condiments which...was in the form of a mildly spicy dip and a garlic-mayo dip. As they tasted fairly nice, the bread finished rather quickly We asked for more and they didn't hesitate! Then eventually they mains....... what can I say.....a HUGE platter full of meat and chicken in the form of kebabs, wings, tikka and donner resting on a bed of rice! Yummmm. They didn't disappoint! I'm not a fan of wings, but I have to say the were SUCCULENT! The meat tikka was just right, not too chewy, the chicken tikka nice and tender! It was a munch- fest, if I may say so.... Each time we requested bread they brought over more and did not charge us any extra! Including drinks we paid about No complaints. The waiters and the manger were polite throughout. A genuinely nice experience!
