Flakes Of Moseley - Birmingham
Flakes Of Moseley
Description
Flakes Fish and Chips offers a mixed experience for diners, with notable discrepancies in service and food quality. While some patrons have praised the generous portions and freshness of the fish and chips, others lament the rising prices and inconsistent service. Reports of inaccurate orders and dismissive staff have led long-time customers to seek alternatives. However, a few glowing reviews highlight exceptional service from friendly staff, creating a welcoming atmosphere. Despite its potential, Flakes struggles with maintaining standards, leaving customers divided and questioning whether it's still a worthy choice for traditional fish and chips.

Freshly cooked, warned their chip shares are enormous. had 2 shelves and a small chip between two of us and was still too much. better to collect, how can it do on this wise if online order for delivery this option is not available as sold as haddock and chips, so can not get a chip between two. always fresh and beautiful staff
The food was nice and the staff is super friendly and beautiful. many thanks! highly recommended
Fantastic place. Clean and tasty. Food not greasy. Definitely worth a try. Staff very friendly.
One of the best places to find delicious fish and chips is at Seaside chippies. I suggested to the cook that their cod and chips should be named Seaside Specials, as they were truly exceptional. The fish and chips were top-notch and a great deal for the price. Even the small portion was surprisingly large. This chippy is fantastic. My friend frequently has orders delivered and is always satisfied with the quality.
I am giving this restaurant 2 stars because my partner enjoyed their meal, but I can't understand why as they admitted it wasn't great once they finished eating. My large fish was once again dry, clearly having been sitting in the display cabinet for hours. I had called ahead before our visit tonight, specifically requesting a fresh piece of cod be cooked as my last experience was terrible. The young assistant assured me that a fresh fish would be prepared, but that was clearly a lie. It is disappointing to see such low-quality food being served. The chips were also very dry and unappetizing. I'm sorry, but Flakes, you really need to step up your game or you will start losing customers. I think I will try the chip shop across the road next time, as the once-great Flakes seems to have declined.
