While the food quality varies—some diners rave about favorites like Lamb Rendang and Char Kway Teow, others feel the offerings are merely adequate—the service is noted as inconsistent. Despite the ambiance being pleasant and relaxed, staff attentiveness can detract from the experience. However, excellent deals for early diners and reasonable prices make it a worthwhile stop, especially for those heading to nearby events. Overall, this eatery holds promise but may need a few adjustments to elevate the dining experience further.
Malaysian and Singapore themed Asian Cuisine done to a very high standard. Love the Lamb Rendang and the Salt and Pepper Squid was also superb. Some excellent drink deals for early diners and a relaxed, well appointed setting.
After a difficult train journey from Edinburgh, I arrived at the hotel late and didn't feel like going out for dinner, so I decided to try this restaurant. They have two menus - one with traditional options like steak, fish, and lamb, and the other with Asian dishes. I'm glad I chose to eat here, as I enjoyed the dry rub ribs, spicy beef, fried rice, and a couple of pints. The food arrived promptly and was hot and delicious. Definitely worth a visit.
I had a wonderful dinner at this restaurant tonight. The staff was efficient and friendly. The food came out quickly, but what was most important was that it was served hot and had authentic flavors, all at a great price. I will definitely be returning.
Our friends recommended this restaurant to us, so we decided to give it a try. With a group of 6, we ordered a variety of Singaporean Malaysian specialties to share. Overall, the food met our expectations and our favorites were the Char Kway Teow, Hainanese Chicken Rice, Ho Jien, and Seafood Ho Fun. The desserts were also delicious. I later took my friend's daughter to Bugis Street in October and we enjoyed their Express Lunch at a very reasonable price. The fried mussels with chili sauce, a starter, was particularly tasty. Needless to say, we will definitely be returning to try more of their specialties. Enjoy! X
As Chinese restaurants go this is up there. Some classics and some that I’d never heard of so that’s good. Excellent service. Bit pricey but on a par for a big city. Not overly busy for a Friday but couldn’t find anything wrong even if I looked for it.
