The interior is beautiful and the food is some of the best I've ever had. I believe this restaurant is underrated and a hidden gem, so I highly recommend checking it out!

We ordered several dishes and were impressed by the low prices. The food arrived promptly and I can't remember the exact names of the dishes, but they were all fantastic. It was the best Chinese food I have had in a long time. My vegetarian friend also had a great experience and loved the vegetarian options. The atmosphere of the restaurant was wonderful, with a modern and soothing vibe. The restaurant was clean and well-maintained, including the restrooms. The lighting was great and I enjoyed the background music, which featured studio ghibli piano music. I highly recommend this restaurant, especially for vegetarians. I will definitely be returning with more friends in the future.

I came with my friends, even though not all of them eat meat, and my friend was pleased with the vegetarian options. Our host, Kelly, was very friendly and helpful. The atmosphere was sweet and quiet. Highly recommended!

There are plenty of vegan options at Ruga Bistro with many mock meat based dishes. The satay sauce on the mock chicken satay for starters was one of the best I've had in a long time, I could have eaten that as a starter and main. The tofu in black sauce was also well cooked with plenty of vegetables and rice. The individual black beans were full of flavour. It's got quite a bit of oil to keep the dish sizzling. The portion size was good value for the price. Recommended for plant-based/vegan Chinese food options in Chinatown, Birmingham.
