I discovered this bakery just when I was about to lose hope in finding a place that could cater to my dietary needs. The woman I spoke with was incredibly warm and reassuring. She made my son’s first birthday extra special with her welcoming and supportive nature, especially knowing my son has allergies that often keep him from enjoying treats. For the first time, he got to eat a cake he truly loved! She prepared both a cake for him and a red velvet cake for the rest of the family, and it was all ready for pickup. My son enjoyed the cake so much; it was fantastic! I highly recommend this bakery to everyone I know because they truly deserve to be recognized. Thank you for making my son’s birthday celebration so special!
I placed a last-minute order for cupcakes, and I must say, the team was exceptional! The communication was fantastic, and they really went the extra mile with the special touches on the gift card. They even kept me informed when a specific flavor was no longer available. Thank you so much! xxx
I recently ordered a cake from Bake Even Cakery for my 20th birthday as a surprise, and the staff were incredibly helpful with themed ideas. The cake looked amazing and was exactly what I wanted. Although I’m based in Edinburgh, 340 miles away, and didn’t get to taste it myself, my son and his friends confirmed it was absolutely delicious and made the celebration truly special. I highly recommend Bake Even Cakery and their menu—definitely a 5-star experience!
Ordered a brownie box for delivery which was delivered very quickly! The brownies are incredible and the service was 5 star. Definitely recommend to anyone needing a chocolate fix! Lots of choice so something for everyone. Can't wait for my next batch!
A truly horrendous experience with this business, I honestly don’t know how they’re still open. Long winded story below: My friend and I placed an urgent order with the bakeeven cakery for our friends birthday on Tuesday the 8th of June 2021. We discussed at length the dietary requirements the cake needed to be nut free, gluten free and dairy free. After discussing this with the manager we decided on a chocolate cake with a chocolate drip, some chocolate shards and a cupcake on top. (See image of what we ended up with for a laugh. When we arrived to collect it the next day, the cake was too warm and had slipped. It was completely ruined but we sympathised with their situation and understood these things happen. We agreed to collect a new cake on Saturday when we were planning a second celebration for my friend’s birthday. Saturday comes along and we enter to store to collect it. The design was completely wrong and for some reason it was covered in Oreo’s (which are from an external source so not guaranteed NUT FREE but also not GLUTEN FREE Following on from this realisation, we went back into the store. We were amazed to find that neither the manager or store owner knew what it was to apologise, let alone provide a resolution. With no other choice we took the cake albeit not to our requirements dietary or visually. Upon presenting this cake to our friend, we were met with the sheer embarrassment of a cake that was ROCK HARD and almost impossible to slice through. The one thing we were relying on was this god damn cake tasting nice!! We decided to call the store to query the condition of the cake, as our only thought was that this was in fact the cake from earlier on in the week. The manager stated that we cake must still be frozen so we dismissed the idea the cake was old. But we still had a frozen cake?! Despite us handling this situation as best we could whilst speaking to the manager in a polite calm manner, we received another phone call from the store owner that was nothing but atrocious! She had an incredibly defensive, aggressive tone and barely allowed us a minute to speak. The owner went on to ask us to return the cake (which we did within 15 minutes. Only to find that when we got back to the store, the owner had apparently “left the store.” It’s been over a year now, we have not had a replacement cake, we’ve been hung up on, spoken to in a blunt, unsympathetic harsh tone and still NO REFUND! My last review was deleted, but I will keep on posting it until this matter is resolved.
