Please be prepared to allow extra time during your visit, especially considering the challenges posed by COVID in 2021. Like many establishments, the limited staff made service a bit slower, requiring some patience. I want to commend the kitchen staff for their excellent food, even as we approached closing time. The quality and presentation of the dishes were surprisingly better than I had anticipated. View all feedback.

Tried this place out on a recommendation, Saturday 3/12/22. It started off bad, and went downhill from there. When we got there, it was extremely cold and people were literally wearing heavy jackets and NOT taking them off. We asked why if they could turn up the heat, but it remained cold. Went on a girls night and had a nice time. Sushi was amazing and excellent wine choices. Salad was just so so but great appetizers helped. Our waitress seemed to rush us but was otherwise friendly.
I have heard such great things about this place! My friend and I came in on Sunday June 5, 2022 and let's just say it was the worst service I had ever experienced. Our server, I believe the name was Emma, only came to our table a total of 3 times. I am a server at Chucks Fish in the Greystone area, and let's just say I know how this works. We did not have water for almost 10 minutes. When our server arrived to our table, she took our drink and appetizer order all at once, which is fine, but our server did not bring us our drinks or our appetizers, someone else did. The server never asked us how our appetizers were. The server never refreshed our water glasses. When they did finally come back, we ordered our entree's, and someone else brought those out as well. Again, no one came to ask us how our entree's were, neither. While all of this was going on, we could see our server not working. She was being very, I would say almost too friendly, with her coworkers in the back. The restaurant was not busy. The table next to us was having the same issue because they had the same server. The food was wonderful, but I need better service to be able to thoroughly enjoy my meal, especially if I am going to be spending over $100 on my meal. If you do love their food a lot, try the location out in Mountain Brook Village because that is definitely what I will be doing!

The only reason I gave them two stars (as opposed to one), was because the place itself was pleasant.
It's ok. The combination and dishes seem more interesting on paper. The flavors just don't quite deliver. We had 2 different ramen dishes, a rice bowl, and sushi. They were all good but none will bring us back. The atmosphere and service were good. If we are in the area, we may try it again. But, I don't think it will be something we will go out of our way for.
Great drinks, sushi, and service!! It also has a good relaxing atmosphere. I have eaten here 3 or 4 times and I have never been disappointed.
