The service from the ladies working there is exceptional and enhances the already delicious coffee they serve. Love this place - the coffee is exceptional and the food is traditional Swedish, very fresh and tasty. I highly recommend visiting this jewel with its Scandinavian flair and wonderful staff.
An under-rated coffee shop in the Birmingham Area. Plenty of parking and baristas offer a friendly greeting when you walk in the door. Small vibe coffee shop with an amazing selection of coffee and specialty treats. Outdoor seating is nice addition. Will definitely be back.

As a Swede living in Michigan I was very happy to learn about this authentic Swedish café! A truly “mysigt” spot in the middle of bustling downtown Birmingham, Svenska Café serves traditional Swedish sandwiches and pastries. Great staff and cozy environment, too!
Very good service, wonderful staff and tasty Swedish sandwiches and snacks. I felt like I was in Sweden by visiting this place, and will surely come back again!!! Highly recommended!
