Ocean - Birmingham

Last evening our UAB doctoral cohort, our families, and mentors, enjoyed a wonderful graduation celebration dinner in the Glass room. It was an incredible evening of food, fun and fellowship in a lovely setting. The room was well prepared, and the staff were incredibly attentive and meals for all were cooked to our requests, from appetizers through the main course and dessert. A variety of sushi, calamari, oysters, and shrimp was ordered and loved. The main course was wonderful as well (too many to list but the surf and turf was off the charts), and the desserts, especially the carrot cake cheesecake and the pecan pie cobbler were devoured. The wine drinkers in our group were also complimentary of the selection. All in all, a great experience and the staff were wonderful, from planning the evening through closing out the bill. Great job!

Hands down one of the best dining experiences I've ever had. It was my friend's birthday so I called ahead and reserved a table. I spoke with the manager (who was incredible) about setting wine on the table beforehand as a surprise. Right when we got there our wine was brought out and everything went so smoothly. The waiter knew exactly what he was talking about when we asked questions and the food was phenomenal. We even got a dessert on the house for the birthday. Would highly recommend and will be going back.

Food was excellent and service was fast and friendly! Even with our waiter being in training he was knowledgeable of the menu and on point ..

We dined at Ocean last night for our 19th anniversary and it was a superb dining experience. The ambiance is chic but not pretentious. The service from greet to server, to second servers, to raw bar, bartender and manager was outstanding. The food was delectable. We started with the Fried Green Tomatoes and the Salmon King Crab roll, both were absolutely perfect. My wife had the filet which was cooked exactly the way she requested, and I had the Thai Green Seafood bouillabaisse and it was delicious. They served us a complimentary Chocolate creme brulee for our anniversary which was very generous, and we then ordered the Basil Cheesecake with Blueberry compote, which was the best cheesecake I have ever tasted. The overall experience was tremendous and we will be back often!

This is one of my husbands and I's favorite places to go to eat on our date nights some of the best oysters I've ever had and my favorite entree is the butter pouched lobster and I can't forget our favorite waiter Rick always so kind and very attentive you really have to go check this place out
