The food in the south of Birmingham is as authentic as a South Grill item as I have ever experienced, and I have experienced some. I ordered a combination plate of drawn pigs and sausages was overwhelmed with the texture and taste of each. Miss Myra’s was really, really good! As soon as you walk in and smell the smoke you can tell that it’s legit bbq. The sides we got were excellent, particularly the green beans, and the pulled pork sandwich was delicious. That was great. the sauce not as much. usually tried as ketchup. the baked beans lubricated as warmed pork and be bored. will not go back.
Had a dear friend who loves bbq at this legendary place. he loved it. Bucket list completed. most people decide to bananenpudding, but I must say that the true old -fashioned double-cooked coconut cream pee lived with freshly roasted cocose up to my expectations to the baby hood. perfect memory for 2 old friends!
Quirky restaurant, and a nice place to eat or to take out. Not formal but great food. Fair prices, good variety, large servings.

I got the pleasure of having Miss Myra's granddaughter take my order and serve me. Friendly and straight forward with the menu. If you are looking for something frilly this isn't it.. Good old fashioned Alabama BBQ with banana ? pudding made from scratch. This is the CHEERS of BBQ everyone knows your name and face of your a regular and there is no shortage of regulars here. I had the combo plate with 2 meats (chicken and pork), chicken was awesome, pork a little dry but great smoke flavor and when I added some red sauce it juiced it up ?. Baked beans has a good taste with what seems to be a hint of honey.. I did get the banana pudding for desert and it was absolutely delicious. It was nice to relax and people watch while Myra and her team interacted with customers and served them up some great food.
