This was our first time dining at this restaurant. When we drove up and walked in, we could tell it was an older establishment, so we didn't have high expectations. What Kyle Lieberman doesn't like about Ming's Cuisine:
I love Chinese food! I know Mings have been in business for a long time, the decor seems to be in with the theme, but unfortunately dated, the food was pleasant, but not what me and my wife expected as in taste flavor The server was outstanding with his table manners and very respectful and helpful with customers, I would recommend a visit ???? The food is pretty good, not bad at all. While I've had better elsewhere, this Chinese restaurant in Birmingham deserves 4 stars. In California or New York, I would rate it 3 stars. I would definitely give it another try.
I give the SHRIMP in LOBSTER Sauce 5 stars. Absolutely delicious, you have to try it! The DINNER version of the Hot Spicy soup is usually very tasty as well. However, on our last visit it was disappointing. It was lacking in heat and didn't have enough vegetables or meat. We had to add some hot mustard sauce to fix it. This was a rare disappointment, as we usually love their soups. I thought maybe they accidentally gave us the lunch version or egg drop soup.
I have been a longtime patron of Ming's restaurant and have always found it to be a warm and inviting place with delicious food. The restaurant is family-owned and operated, and the staff are always friendly and provide excellent service. I particularly enjoy the hot and sour soup and egg rolls that are included with lunch. Every item on the menu is exceptional, which explains why this restaurant has stood the test of time.
I love everything about this restaurant...and my 5-year-old grandson loves it too.
This was our first time dining at this restaurant. When we drove up and walked in, we could tell it was an older establishment, so we didn't have high expectations. However, we were pleasantly surprised. The waitress was friendly and when my mother inquired about the food, she mentioned that they had received a 5-star rating the previous year. After tasting the food, I could see why. The dishes were made to order and not left sitting in pans. I ordered the sweet and sour shrimp with fried rice and it was delicious. The portion was generous and I couldn't finish it all. In addition, the prices were reasonable. Overall, it was a very enjoyable dining experience and definitely worth a visit.
