Metro Diner - Birmingham

I typically go to the locations in Jacksonville, FL, so I was thrilled to discover one in Trussville! The staff is consistently friendly, and the food is delicious and well-prepared. My husband and I always have a great time here.

After talking about it for a year, I finally made it to this restaurant, and it did not disappoint! I really enjoy the relaxed diner vibe. The music playing was a fantastic selection of soft rock and pop hits from the 60s to the 80s. I ordered the chicken and waffles, which were served in a generous portion—big enough for two people to share! The food was served hot, and my waitress, Faith, provided excellent service. I highly recommend this spot for anyone craving diner food.

I don't know who was in the kitchen today, but I ordered the cinnamon roll pancakes, a two-egg breakfast with hash browns and toast, while my daughter had the western omelet. Everything was perfect—nothing was burned or overcooked. This was probably the best experience we've had since we started dining here. Our server, Lona, was fantastic! She took excellent care of us. Today was a 10/10 for both service and food. Great job!

This is the best place I've ever been! The food is delicious and the service is excellent. If you haven't tried it yet, I highly suggest you do. They serve breakfast all day long, which is a huge plus! The fruity waffles are absolutely amazing. I can’t wait to go back for more this week! Lol

We visited this restaurant while in town for a soccer tournament, and my daughter and I were eager to try some local cuisine. We were not disappointed! The portion sizes were generous, and the fried chicken was incredibly flavorful. The homemade coleslaw was the perfect complement to our meal. Our server was very attentive and made sure all our needs were met. I will definitely stop by again if we're back in town. The restaurant was filled with locals, which is always a good sign of great food!
