Mellow Mushroom Inverness - Birmingham

The food was delicious and fresh. Maria, our server, was excellent.

I was not impressed with the vegan options at this particular Mellow Mushroom location. I had to send back my order multiple times because it was not prepared with dairy-free cheese. I would recommend trying the downtown location for better service.

I recently tried the vegan pizza at this restaurant and was extremely impressed. They offer options like hummus, a vegan veggie pizza, and a build your own pizza with Follow Your Heart cheese, tempeh, or tofu toppings. This is by far the best vegan pizza I've had in a long time, possibly ever. And coming from California, where vegan pizza is widely available, that's saying a lot.

I highly recommend this restaurant for their extremely fresh, clean, and delicious pizzas, hoagies, calzones, salads, and other menu items. The atmosphere is very relaxed and clean. The waitstaff is excellent and friendly. My daughter has declared this her new favorite spot, so it seems like we will be visiting here frequently! :-D

Seated quick and food was great. I think my waitress had 2 tables. I ordered a water and Coke, both mostly ice. I had to flag her down for refills. Silverware was not provided, had to ask, then got take-out plastic- for a calzone. Had to ask for parmesan and red pepper.
