I've eaten at this location an average of 10-30 times per year since it opened. Over the years, the quality of service/food has jumped from 1 to 5 stars depending on time of year and who is managing the store. Right now, Sep-2022, its above average. most of the staff are pretty nice. Due to the location, it has to be good to keep customers since there is a lot of competitionin this area of town. What Leopold Lockman doesn't like about Cracker Barrel Old Country Store:
The service here is terrible. Waited for 50 minutes for breakfast that never came without a statement from the waitress. It was NOT crowded. We went out in frustration before we got our food. The young lady at the reception was nice. We told her we just wanted to pay for our soda and coffee and go. She said she couldn't ring it, but would call a manager in front. I said we were tired to wait and I put $7 on the count... View all feedback.

We typically really like Cracker Barrel and have it as a staple for family lunches. Unfortunately we had a bad experience at the Colonnade location recently. We had a larger group (8 adults) and the wait was 45 minutes which was fine, but we weren'tnotified that food was taking an additional 30-40 minutes to come out of the kitchen until after we waited for the table andplaced our order. We had two infants with us so being able to understand and plan our timing was very important. We ordered andwaited for the 30-40 minutes like we were told and but the food took over an hour to arrive. By this point we had been at therestaurant for two hours which was much longer than we anticipated. Once the food did arrive it was cold because it had beensitting on the warmer for so long. We did voice our concerns at the restaurant and receive a discount on our bill but it was notoffered apologetically. I fully understand staffing shortages and know that Sunday after church rush must be incrediblydifficult on a restaurant like this, but I would have appreciated knowing the expected time up front. I would have been able tobring in bottles for the babies or prepare better had I understood what they were facing. They also are catering to to goorders. We would see countless to go meals leave the kitchen while everyone in the dining room waited. I please ask themanagement of this restaurant to take a look at the scheduling of staff and order volume for both dining and carry out to see ifit balanced and offer timing expectations for any wait associated with a visit up front. Thank you
Good place, but not for big parties, Our family was here out of town, decided that we all go to brunch. It took an hour to sit, which was understandable since we were a big party. But once it took 15 minutes to get to our table, another 30 for us to get drinks and another 45 minutes for our food. I had to get up several times to ask for things we missed like cutlery. Bad experience.

I said we were tired to wait and I put $7 on the counter and told her that I'm sure this was more than enough to pay for our drinks and we went. I wasn't there in over two years and hoped that the service might be better at that time. I was wrong. Maybe expect generic computer-assisted response...
It's always fun to take the grandkids to Cracker Barrel! They love shopping for a special toy while we're there and the charm is everywhere. So many great southern style dishes to choose from. I love the meatloaf, hash brown casserole, and turnip greens with hot biscuits!
