Contribute Feedback What Lynn Childs doesn't like about Kyoto:
Meals and sushi there are EXPENSIVE and small portions. You can get some food which is not fresh if you are lucky . A lot of choices for the meals but not sushi. The taste is acceptable but not Japanese at all. No commons on the services. View all feedback.
Well below what I would want even a mall food outlet to serve. I ordered katsu udon and paid $18 for watered down soup with cabbage and if the Katsu was good it was destroyed by the hot water it was soaking in.
Paul C, Mairangi Bay. This place is a joke. Rude service including being ignored, and then not told when our order is ready. So then when we ask where our order was the lady just pointed at what had been waiting on the counter for at least ten minutes (getting cold). The food was greasy beef off cuts (six tiny pieces) with gluggy rice that we couldn’t eat as it was unpalatable, and this was what they called a main meal (at full price)! These people obviously do not care how they treat (polite) customers and should not be in business. This is the first time we have been moved to write such a review, and we trust others will not have to deal with the same. Our experience was such that we thought there was a hidden camera and we were being pranked (but there was no Jono and Ben). Don’t go there, there are so many other places around them.
This is such an absolutely terrible take away Sushi shop typical of NZ. First, they are so unfriendly and never say even thank you when you buy something. Actually they should go to Japan before they sell Japanese food so that they can learn at least the basic of customer service evidently, people working there are not Japanese. Second, the Sushi that they sell is so yuck too far and different from the authentic Japanese food or Sushi sold in Japan. Will never ever go to this shop again.
I waited half an hour for a rice and chicken meal, That and a mini water bottle cost me 18.50! crazy, that's not the worst part it gave me food poisoning. will never come back here again
I bought one of the ready made bento boxes with salmon, egg, pasta, vegetables and rice. For $12 I was alright with it but It wasn't amazing. I would not choose to come back, at least they had a variety on the bento box but it wasn't particularly amazing. I also tried a salmon onigiri which I thought was quite steep with its price due to it having a really small portion of fish but as a snack, I guess it was ok.
